Tristram Plants staff featured in Grow Careers article
As strong believers in attracting young people into horticulture, and providing them with career opportunities to ensure we have a future supply of capable managers and technologists, Walberton and Binsted Nurseries were delighted for their staff to feature in an online article for Grow Careers. Briony Howe, Leah Jones and Marc Jones all participated in interviews in Spring this year, culminating in the feature recently published on the Grow Careers website, which can be read in full here: What does a career in horticulture look like?
Briony joined Walberton Nursery in her first Team Leader role in 2016 following a successful work placement with us. Leah joined Binsted Nursery in 2014 and worked her way up to Team Leader level within a year. Marc joined Walberton Nursery in 1997 as Despatch Manager, working his way up to his current position of Managing Director of both Walberton and Binsted Nurseries.
Set up via the Chartered Institute of Horticulture, Grow Careers aims to provide guidance to people interested in a career in horticulture. We hope that Briony, Leah and Marc’s profiles on the Grow Careers site help to inspire others to follow a career in the very rewarding sector of horticulture.
